Lots of options including:

• Dylans – modern feel, 5 min walk away (out of the cottage and turn left and follow the road), dogs allowed. Booking recommended.

• Anglesey Arms – traditional pub food, 5 min walk away (out of the cottage and turn right and follow the road under the bridge and carry on), dogs allowed in bar area.

• The Victoria – recently refurbished pub/restaurant, great patio with views of the Straits – 5 min walk away. Telford Road.  Dogs allowed on patio and in the bar area.

• Menai Bridge main street has lots of options for both meals out and takeaways, a guest recently recommended Plus 39 for takeaway pizzas and The Freckled Angel for a special meal.

Shops

 

• On the main street Dylans has a Deli shop, lovely for snacks, salad bits, bread etc.

• Waitrose is about a 5 min walk away (next to the Anglesey Arms)

 

Beaches

Lots of great beaches within a short distance.

• Newborough – great sandy beach, good for walks

 

• Aberffraw – fantastic sand dunes which you walk through to get to the beach

 

• Red Wharf Bay – Smallish beach with lovely seaside café - Boathouse

 

• Benllech – traditional seaside beach

 

• Lligwy – lovely beach for walks – tearoom

 

• Local walk -   Walk to Church Island via Belgium Promenade.

Bangor University Botanic Garden just over the bridge.
